One fictional example connects the eight lessons: a home-improvement retailer with stores, an online shop and a loyalty program. Marta coordinates the data work with business owners and specialists. Conflicting customer definitions, duplicate records and a supplier-price error give the documents a shared context; all scenario figures are example numbers, not client results.

First comes authority and ownership. Definitions and catalog records then establish a shared understanding of the data. Quality, access and master-data decisions become recurring processes, and the final lesson connects their evidence to priorities, capacity and a management report. Each assignment produces one working document or pack for the learner's company.

The course covers how to establish and run a data governance program with working documents, including a program coordinated by one person. It does not prepare students for CDMP, DCAM or other exams, and claims no affiliation with DAMA, EDM Council or ISO.
